these lessons are aimed at those who write their own music and wish to be able to create layered recordings using multiple instruments. you’ll learn about: arranging a tune, tracking all the instruments yourself (even if you don’t play that particular instrument), editing and mixing. as a project for these lessons, we will create a demo of one of your original tunes and i will guide you through every step. we can also explore creating video of your finished piece and i will teach you basic video skills like shooting, cutting and editing.
in these lessons, we will explore the art of writing and arranging your own songs as well as basic home recording to get you down the path of producing your own music. In my studio, we will work together towards creating demo recordings of the songs you write as projects in our lessons. don’t play an instrument? i will include instruction in basic guitar, piano or ukulele (your choosing) in our lessons so you can have the tools to bring your songs to life. available in person or online (in person only for recording sessions)

Primarily geared toward song writing students as part of their lesson path but also available to song writers with completed songs wishing to bring their songs to life with the guidance of an experienced producer at their side.

While my biggest strengths in teaching are in the realm of the drums and song production, I also offer basic to intermediate instruction in guitar, bass, keys and ukulele to students looking to benefit from my particular style of teaching. even experienced players of these instruments can benefit from my more generalized music lessons, focusing on the more universal aspects of musical development such as improving your time, practicing efficiently, performance and more.

30 minute BASIC
60 minute STANDARD
The recommended, standard format. Aimed at most teens to adults or students who have some musical experience and are wishing to venture deeper into their journey. Available in person or online.
This format is for people who prefer an unrushed, in depth approach to learning. In these 3 hour immersive learning sessions, we will go down the rabbit hole together and explore in great detail specific subjects related to your development. recommended for experienced players, song writers, people looking for one-off lessons or even those who just really enjoy the longer format. Available In person only.
3 hour iMMERSIVE
Spend an entire day with me as we perform a full comprehensive on your playing. you’ll receive an exhaustive lesson, we’ll create a practice regime and play it together while i give you guidance to maximize your development. we will also record your playing and analyze the recordings to bring about improvement. in addition to that, i’ll bring in a guest musician to bring your lesson materials to life by playing them with you. We will also explore great music you may not be aware of and discuss at length subjects related to music, performing, music psychology and life in general.
